#15 THINGS I HATE ABOUT TRUMP: TRUMP, NUNES, RUSSIAN SCANDAL

As the TrumpRussia story heats up day by day, Trump attempts to use his old game plays: doubling down on lies, declare it fake news, the blame game, and divert. More and more Americans have caught on to his offensive maneuvers and tricks and have grown weary of his attempts to MANipulate the situation and reality.

Remember when our President publicly accused our last President of illegally wiretapping him via a tweet…

Last week the $hit was starting to hit the fan on Trump’s lie which backfired on him BIG time in two ways:

  1. First, it drew further attention to how unhinged he is. More and more Americans are recognizing in Trump’s POST TRUTH era, pathological lies, ridiculous claims, and MANipulation of the public via tweets are the new norm. The WH tried to put a spin on the accusation. Spicy even said wiretapping was in quotes and suggested we should not take Trump literally or at his word…really? I think we are all coming to that conclusion on our own.
  2. After FBI director Comey’s testimony last week it became clear that Trump and his team have been under FEDERAL surveillance since last Summer. Yes, our President is caught up in a REAL Federal investigation involving RUSSIA.

Next thing we know, Nunes, head of the House Intelligence Committee is holding a press conference….yes, that alone was SUPER strange. Nunes claims that the TrumpRussia ties are coincidental and that Trump and his cronies just got caught up in a bigger investigation and Trump is innocent and better yet,  vindicated because now his claim of actually being wiretapped was true (OK, well, partially but I suggest Obama does not hold his breath for an apology cause’ I don’t think the Don is capable). Talk about a SPIN. If it were not for the fact that Russia interfered with our election and has possible strong ties to the Trump campaign and Presidency, I would almost be impressed with the calculated deception attempted here. Thank goodness for Adam Schiff whose grasp of logic and common sense seems to be in direct odds with the Trump administration. Schiff called Nunes out for his inappropriate behavior.

“But Adam Schiff (D-Calif.), ranking member of the House Intelligence Committee, said that Nunes could not conduct a credible investigation in this manner.

“As to the substance of what the Chairman has alleged, if the information was lawfully gathered intelligence on foreign officials, that would mean that U.S. persons would not have been the subject of surveillance. In my conversation late this afternoon, the Chairman informed me that most of the names in the intercepted communications were in fact masked, but that he could still figure out the probable identity of the parties.” Schiff said in a statement (4).”

Today we learn that Trump’s administration has attempted to block Sally Yates, former Attorney General fired for not supporting Don the Cons immigration ban and now a leading American SheHero, from testifying in the House congressional investigation (1). The letters published by the Washington Post today shows the Trump administration claimed her testimony is inadmissible due to presidential communication privilege (1). No need to worry about that though, because Nunes cancelled the hearing where Yates and others were scheduled to speak. You can almost hear him saying, “Nothing to see here, folks.” —Yup, does not look suspicious at all.

Do you think Trump is afraid of what Yates has to say? I am thinking that is a great BIG, YES!

“Yates and another witness at the planned hearing, former CIA director John Brennan, had made clear to government officials by Thursday that their testimony to the committee probably would contradict some statements that White House officials had made…(1)”

Did I mention that Nunes cancelled the testimony only after Yates’ lawyer sent a response to the “presidential communication privilege” claim basically stating, that communication is no longer privileged because the WH has been talking about it publicly. Will this be another instance where the Trump administrations’ own words come back to haunt them (here is looking at you Stephen Miller, for whom we have to thank for the second “travel ban” being blocked. Miller went on FOX news and reassured the FOX FANATICS that the new plan was just as discriminatory as the original muslim ban, “fundamentally, you’re still going to have the same basic policy outcome”, giving the judge the ammunition needed to shut that ban down [2].)

Spicy Spicer, of course, denied any attempt to prevent Yates from speaking in a press conference. How does this man sleep at night? Day after day of lies on top of lies. I used to feel sorry for him, but now… is this job really worth selling your soul?

Democrat Adam Schiff is still publicly calling for a full independent investigation and wants Yates’ testimony to be included.  Schiff is another hero emerging in the TrumpRussia scandal. You would think Russian interference would be a bipartisan issue; however, Nunes is destroying the reputation the House Intelligence Committee has on being impartial, fair and just.

House Democrats called for Nunes to recuse himself yesterday from all TrumpRussia investigations, claiming he was not an impartial investigator and may be too far up Trump’s a$$. This request came after it was revealed that Nunes, prior to holding his press conference last week, met with a source IN THE WHITE HOUSE that provided him with “proof” that the TrumpRussia thing was all just a matter of coincidence (3). There are a few BIG problems with this:

    1. Why Nunes? What is his role, why is he ignoring his responsibility and obligation as the head of the House Intelligence Committee to protect Trump? What does he have to gain/lose?
    2. Nunes, party of one, decides that what he hears from his “anonymous source in the WH” is so convincing he holds a press conference and surprises EVERYONE except Trump and his administration–nothing fishy about that…
    3. An anonymous source at the WH and we are to believe it was NOT the TRUMP administration…come on, how dumb do you think the American people are?
    4. Let’s assume the information is just a silly coincidence—then why? Why, would you obstruct an investigation that could clear everything up.
    This morning Trump’s response to the growing TrumpRussian scandal; his call for an investigation into Russia….

Yup, Russia and Hillary–he also names Bill and Podesta. DIVERSION, folks. Don’t let this MANipulator fool you. The story is TrumpRussia and I want to hear all about it.

Please call your Congressional representatives and ask them to support an independent investigation into Russian interference in our election and the relationships between Russia and Trump’s campaign and administration.

PIZZA GATE RE-EXPLORED

What do Alex Jones (FOX fanatic and propaganda pusher aka unhinged screamer), Mike Flynn (Trump’s ex-National Security Advisor, and Russia have in common? A pizza parlor and a ridiculous conspiracy theory.

Alex Jones and Fake News Site Info Wars (a conservative site used to push conspiracy theories and a favorite of Trumpsters along with FOX and Brietbart); please watch and try to imagine people believing this ridiculous garbage. Their emotions and tears are even more offensive knowing that they must really be acting. They push fake news and don’t expect them to fact check it. What was their reward? More followers? Accolades? Don’t for one second think this unhinged character has a heart since he also supports conspiracy theories that the Sandy Hook massacre was a hoax/not real  and 9/11 was an inside job:

Don’t know who Mike Flynn is? Well he was DT’s National Security Advisor. Yup, the same guy who coined “Lock Her Up” at the RNC convention last summer (the irony is thick here as his may be facing treason charges). He was also responsible for Pizzagate, a lovely little twitter/defamation of character/business slander/public safety issue, type of tweet.

Here’s Flynn’s tweet from Nov 2016, this is after FBI Director Comey’s interference and resurgence of Hillary email controversy (gosh, remember when people had their panties in a bunch about uninteresting emails) :

This tweet links to a blog post (that he used as a credible news source) from True Pundit with a catchy headline about “..New Hillary Emails: Money Laundering, Sex Crimes with Children, Child Exploitation, Pay to Play, Perjury”. Yup, it did not matter that it was not real or that it was just plain ridiculous—and don’t even get me started on the Hillary email scandal (while Trump continues to use his android phone, unsecured servers and post his rants and outright lies on his twitter account). The Pizza-gate issue was further complicated by the fact that a gunman did go into Comet Ping Pong Pizza, the site of the supposed child sex ring, in Washington, and opened fire claiming his actions were a result of a conspiracy theory he heard from watching Alex Jones.

Edgar M. Welch claimed that he heard the conspiracy theory from Jones, who made a calculated and what I consider insincere apology to the public for his lies and role in Pizza-Gate on Sunday, March 25th; perhaps to avoid being held culpable. Too late! Trumpsters cling to their conspiracy theories like a fly on fly paper. As of Sunday in a pro-Trump rally outside the US there were still some calling for an investigation into the Clinton child trafficking sex scandal, specifically looking to lock Hillary, Bill and John Podesta, Hillary’s campaign manager, up for their heinous fictitious crimes.

On a side note, Flynn’s son, his Chief of Staff, eventually lost his job–wait for it, because he tweeted after the event that there may be truth in the conspiracy theory. “Really, you can’t make this $*** up” is the common theme of this entire election and presidency.

What role does RUSSIA play? What do we know? Russia attempted to interfere with the US election. How and to what extent, well this is where the details available to the public become more sketchy. I hate to say it, but we are counting on you Comey, to bring some clarity to the issue. What most will agree on is:

  • Russia used botnets, teams of paid trolls and networks of websites and social media outlets to target Trump’s fanbase –alt right and fascist sites
  • Their goal was to “erode mainstream media” and get Trump elected
  • Conspiracy theories spread like wildfire in the alt-right world

What we do not know is:

  • What role did Trump play?
  • Did he or his campaign collude with Russia?
  • Did he or anyone in his campaign get paid for services for helping Russia?
  • How dirty is Manafort and Flynn (I am hoping to write more about this; I have a feeling more information will be released soon. Manafort agrees to testify in front of the House Intelligence Committee and Flynn seems to be under lock and key–so I am thinking these two men have something to say).

So who do we ultimately get to “thank” Pizza-gate and the other conspiracy theories for????  The people who made it up, the people who spread the propaganda, the ignorant who believed it?

#13 THINGS I HATE ABOUT TRUMP: TRUMPCARE

This is probably a good time to remind everyone that I am no expert on politics. Is anyone really? I do have a double major in Economics and International Relations but at this point in my life I would call myself a concerned citizen. I truly believe that the passing of the ACA was the best thing that happened for Americans and the healthcare system in the last decade. You could say that universal, quality healthcare is a passion of mine.

Yes, there is room to improve the ACA but not in the way Ryan, the Freedom Caucus or Trump wants. Ryan’s entire identity in the House is based on his opposition to the ACA. What became entirely clear was HIS plan was simply a masquerade for tax breaks for the rich, basically everyone else could go F’ themselves. Here is a clip from March 18, 2017 where he talks about dreaming of the Medicaid cuts he would make since his keg drinking days. Yup…dreams about sticking it to the poor disenfranchised—that about sums his character up.

Trumpcare Timeline (as best as I can put it together):

    • The ACA was passed and the Republicans spend the next 7 years trying to repeal it but never manage to positively contribute to changing it or to come up with a better plan.
    • Trump runs on campaign platform that promises repeal with replacement of “better healthcare” at lower costs for ALL (yup, that was a big fat alternative truth). ‘“My first day in office, I am going to ask Congress to put a bill on my desk getting rid of this disastrous law and replacing it with reforms that expand choice, freedom, affordability,” said Trump on Oct. 25, a day after he St. Augustine speech, in Sanford, Florida. “You’re going to have such great health care at a tiny fraction of the cost. And it’s going to be so easy.”‘
    • The America Health Care Act is introduced but Trump does not want to call it Trumpcare (he distances himself from the get go), so from henceforth we shall refer to it as Trumpcare.
    • The bill begins to be known as the “Repeal and go F’ yourself” plan, as the general public starts to catch wind on actually how bad the plan is.
    • The Congressional Budget Office (CBO), aka nonpartisan scorekeepers,  releases their analysis of the proposed plan and it is not good. To sum up the highlights: 14 million Americans would lose coverage in the first year, eventually 24 million would be uninsured, and premiums would rise as much as 20% (they would eventually fall over time as more and more Americans were priced out of the market or died [a little nursing humor there]).
    • Proposed Federal budget that further promotes the “go F’ yourself” mentality with cuts to crucial social services and other supportive services—with only increases in defense spending, border patrol and immigration services. Many begin to catch on that Trump truly does not care about his fanbase which would be the most hurt by the healthcare repeal and the budget cuts.
    • EVERY healthcare agency speaks out against Trumpcare.
    • The House does not have the votes and they know it. Thank you, to all the town hall attendees, protesters and citizens for reaching out to your Congressional representatives in support of the ACA. Your contributions are the reason some Republicans broke rank and voted in support of their constituents.
    • Despite the fact that the bill was not ready and did not have the votes needed, Ryan, Trump and Republicans push for Thursday vote–the anniversary of the ACA, a final F’ You to Obama and Trump’s “many enemies” aka those who oppose and did not vote for him.
    • Instead of making positive changes to improve care for everyone and obtain more support, Ryan doubles down and makes the plan worse for Americans by trying to appeal to the far right Freedom Caucus. There would be no analysis of these proposed changes by the Congressional Budget Office before the vote.Will the moderate Republicans and the Freedom Caucus split? At this point unless the Republicans can separate themselves from the Tea Party, Freedom Caucus, Koch bros, I only see further divide in America. The majority of Americans oppose Trump and definitely oppose the Freedom Caucus (this sounds like another post is needed; I thought the Tea Party would destroy the Republican party long ago).
    • Ryan runs to WH to let Trump know they don’t have the votes (first of all, how did he not already know, the writing was on the wall the moment that Trumpcare was introduced).
    • Rumor has it Trump wanted to push it to a vote anyway–why? I imagine his vindictive nature wanted a public record of those who opposed—so he could brand them as his enemies. That seems to be a go-to move of his.
    • In the end someone must have reasoned with him and explained the bigger picture of the more public loss and the bill was pulled.
    • Trump gives press conference and declares the loss “very close” (very close??? What planet is he on?).

  • He then goes on to blame the loss on the Democrats saying they had no Democratic support—–uhmmmmm, doesn’t the Republican party control the House and Senate. This is where the discussion about incompetence of the Trump admin typically takes place.
  • He then goes on to say, “the best thing we can do politically speaking is to let Obamacare explode”. Yup, there you have it folks–his next move. Do you think he will make necessary changes to the ACA. Do you think he will improve the healthcare system? NOPE, remember narcissists are driven by their vindictive nature….he will let it explode, then he will claim “I told you so.”

I am not gonna lie, yesterday felt like a victory over evil but there is no time to gloat or relax, we must continue to #RESIST.

TRUMP’S TYRANNY

I can’t keep up. If feels as if not a day has gone by since Trump decided he would run for President, that he has not said or done something inappropriate, ignorant, or just plan crazy. He is unhinged and not stable and I don’t know what is taking so long in regards to removing him from office. The majority of Americans did not vote for him and day by day more and more people recognize his ignorance and lack of experience for the job at hand put the US at great risk.

His latest was a reactionary response to Sessions’ Russian ties and eventually recusal from any future Russian investigation. Supposedly he went off to Mar-a-Lago, what he calls the Winter WH and the rest of the world call an unsecured time bomb, in a HUGE huff. After all he is a petulant child who cannot take criticism and is the epitome of a sore loser–and sore winner for that matter. It did not take long before the latest twitter rant began.

How low has President Obama gone to tapp my phones during the very sacred election process. This is Nixon/Watergate. Bad (or sick) guy!

His source for all of these INSANE tweets seems to be Bat $*** Crazy Brietbart and a right wing nutter. Mark Levin. Yup….He accused an outgoing President with an untarnished reputation without evidence. The majority of people around the world erupted with outrage and the overwhelming knowledge that their suspicions he was crazy were true. Even Republicans jumped on board. Yes, his admin tried to put a spin on it. Claiming other sources like the NYT had the information but the “other” reputable sources were just reporting on his crazy behavior.

Did he open the door to a full blown investigation?

Will twitter be his downfall?

A Federal wiretap would have only been permitted with probable cause?

Is he insane?

Thankfully, with all the questions the one question the majority of Americans were able to write off, was “Is there chance that Obama was involved”. That option was quickly removed when common sense and actual facts were introduced into the equation.

Then there is his crazy cronies who are ill prepared for the roles he has assigned them. So much for all of those Republicans who said, “Wait, we know he is crazy but he will surround himself with smart people.” Wellllll, along with a Russian investigation, I want a full on investigation into how Carson passed his medical boards because I can’t get over his ignorance. He had this to say in his address to HUD employees yesterday, March 6, 2017:

“There were other immigrants who came in the bottom of slave ships, who worked even longer, even harder, for less, but they too had a dream that one day their sons, daughters, grandsons, granddaughters, great grandsons, great granddaughters might pursue prosperity and happiness in this land,” said Carson, who is black. 

Seriously, you cannot make this $*** up. Wake up, people. This is not our America and we are in danger with this man in office.

Day 42/43 TWITTER WILL BE HIS DEMISE

Yesterday, the story was all about Jeff Sessions lying under oath claiming he had no contact with Russia during the election. When the media uncovered 2 points of contact, the spin was —well, that was not in his capacity as a Trump advisor, it was in his role as a Senator. Unfortunately for him, his answer to Franken during his confirmation hearing was damming and taped so you can review it for yourself.

Social media and mainstream media spent the day guessing about his motive and what was discussed with Putin’s lackey, Kislyak. Why did he lie if it was an innocent meeting? The whole thing just smelled and although he recused himself from any Russian investigation the public was looking for their pound of flesh.

Today, March 4th, we awoke to a twitter storm—HEEEEEEE”S BACK. Yes, the Trump that relies on right wing websites for news, that only knows how to be on the offense (look at his tweets post Sessions fiasco–calling out Democrats who met with Putin–in the capacity of their JOBS, Donald), that cannot resist a good twitter rant, that is the world’s biggest sore loser–Really, no one is as big of a sore loser as he is–was back.

How low has President Obama gone to tapp my phones during the very sacred election process. This is Nixon/Watergate. Bad (or sick) guy!

He may have gotten this information from a right wing nut job but the interesting twist is it just may implicate him. First of all, Presidents do not order wire taps. Secondly, wire taps like this would have only been permitted with probable cause and approval. Soooooooooo… Trump, you were under a Federal investigation with probable cause. No wonder the outgoing admin tried to secure the data and information for fear of a coverup.

By confirming it publicly, Trump has also pretty much guaranteed no one can be charged for leaking the existence of this FISA warrant. Oops!

The most gratifying thing is that Trump’s demise may be directly related to a tweet.

Days 39, 40, 41 BREATHE AND THEN PUSH

I fell behind in my accounting of the Days of the Trump Tyranny but don’t worry DT has been busy and there is plenty to report and I plan on ending with some HOPE.

Trump addressed Congress Wednesday Night, February 28th; this was in place of a State of the Union address. Here is a recap by Colbert of the “Surprisingly Presidential” Speech. It seemed that a lot of people were pleasantly surprised stating DT was more optimistic and used better tone than he typically does but those of us familiar with this buffoon were not fooled by his polished well read speech. One tweeter commenter called the speech, “Nationalism with an indoor voice” and I could not agree more. Don’t be fooled people, a leopard does not change his spots. He has done this before and the REAL tyranny will shine through soon enough. Check out Colberts recap below.

Day 40, I spent the day after his speech contemplating how I felt about everything. The bar was set so low, how could one mediocre speech where he did not really say anything make so many people excited. How could people not feel disgusted over the obvious exploitation of the widow whose husband died in the botched Yemen raid. The death most likely due to incompetence; the raid DT did not watch from the situation room because he was busy tweeting (yes, there is evidence of this)–the raid where Owens’ father is calling for an investigation. I am terribly sorry for Carryn Owens and her family. Her husband died a hero’s death but he deserves respect and his death requires an investigation even if it only helps to identify how to avoid tragedies like this in the future. In the field of medicine we call this Grand Rounds, where we use real life cases to help improve patient outcomes.

A friend shared the following film clip with me and it is still resonating with me. Please take a few minutes to watch this–I promise it is worth it. This woman, this mother, clearly outlines the concerns of many. She describes the troubles and the worries, that people face everyday. She describes how lately it feels like we are no longer moving forward, that instead we are regressing and she is fearful. Fearful for her son, fearful for all others, stating “I am leaving my son a world more dangerous than the one I was given.” I feel it too, hate is on the rise—but it is the end of the clip, the end that fills me with hope.

What if the darkness is a womb. “What if our America is a country that is not dead but a country that is waiting to be born…What if this is our nation’s Great Transition….Breath and then PUSH!” If her words do not leave you teary eyed or filled with hope–you may not have a heart.

Today, Day 41, I awoke to news that the Russian story will not be easily swept under the carpet. That Obama and his team tried to preserve information and scatter it before DT came into office in an effort to make sure it was not destroyed. That we have video footage of Jess Sessions lying under oath during his confirmation hearing for Attorney General. The stories broke in NYT and the Washington Post late last night–aka DT’s fake news–LOVE it!

Sessions met with the Russian Ambassador,  Sergey Kislyak, 2 times during the election in July/September. One meeting was a private meeting in September (2 months before the election and well after the US got wind about Russian interference). Why did they meet? What did they discuss? If the US was worried about Russian interference and Sessions came onboard with DT back in February, why didn’t Sessions realize this was inappropriate? If the discussion was related to his Senate role (which will be difficult to prove support of this), why did he LIE?

I hope we find out soon. PUSH, people.

Day 38 COMPLICATED HEALTH CARE-WHO KNEW

It is really quite remarkable. Since Trump went into office and announced the repealing of the ACA with no replacement in sight, it caused a uproar even amongst his fanbase. First the shock was that the Affordable Health Care Act or the ACA was actually Obamacare. Yes, some had no clue and their bias to anything Obama became problematic when they realized they actually depended on this care. Repealing without replacement became a BIG problem; however, instead of being patient and strategically planning, Trump pushed for repeal and his Republican lackeys jumped on board.

Many constituents are getting vocal about the ACA and are concerned its repeal is the wrong move–this includes MANY Republicans. Are your representatives in Congress listening? Not if they think protests and outrage in the Town Hall meetings are staged liberal activist events—by the way they are not. It turns out that most people like having healthcare–Imagine that.

Trump actually went on the record today (follow link to see the clip) that “It is an unbelievably complex subject. No body knew healthcare could be so complicated…” Hmmm, yes, yes we did know, you ignoramus.

Some “other things” you may not know. Do you know that if people do not have insurance their only option for care is showing up at the local ER? and did you know that when they show up there, they MUST be treated? That it is illegal to turn them away? Yup, that means they are clogging up Emergency Services with issues like the common cold and the flu—-and all the care they get is provided at NO COST—well, that part is not true. Hospital care cost LOTS and who do you think pays for this—well, YOU my friend. YOU do. Uninsured drive up healthcare costs. The more expensive costs then drive up insurance costs…and maybe you get the picture now—-hence, the purpose of the ACA and the reason it was necessary.

Day 37 WHITE HOUSE CORRESPONDENTS DINNER

It all comes back to the 2011 Correspondents Dinner. Please take a look at this clip, DT is seething. Did this night help shape his hatred for Obama and the media. Sure, he hated Obama before then but this level of humiliation was the beginning of his revenge…a man driven by his vindictiveness.

“Donald Trump was the focus of President Obama’s jokes at the 2011 White House Correspondents’ Dinner. It was there that Trump resolved to run for president, adviser Roger Stone tells FRONTLINE in “The Choice 2016,” coming to PBS Sept. 27.”

It is no surprise that DT is avoiding the WH Correspondents dinner this year. His war on the media is an embarrassment and I can only imagine attending would have been like walking into the lions den as the lion tamer–if the lions has been abused for month after month. It will be interesting to see how the night plays out. Samantha Bee was planning an alternative event on the same night, I wonder if if they will combine events and roast DT eventhough he is not in attendance.

Yah, no way he wrote that–way too polite.

Many had planned to boycott and Vanity Fair, the New Yorker and Bloomberg had cancelled their parties that usually draw a celebrity crowd and plenty of press. It will be interesting to see what the event turns into now. I imagine it will be a good show.

I hope they use this opportunity to celebrate Freedom of the Press and the field of journalism.

Day 36 THIS IS NOT MY AMERICA

DT and his HATE filled agenda offends me on every level imaginable. He disgusted me with his behavior during his life as a celebrity, his behavior during his campaign, and his behavior now is anything but Presidential (no matter what Con-Artist Conway has to say about it). DT exemplifies all the qualities of a bully with no moral compass and the compassion of a toad–scratch than–that is an insult to all toads out there.

DT and his administration are a threat to Democracy. Breitbart Bannon admitted the plan is the deconstruction of government at this weeks CPAC. What do you think that mean, folks? Coupled with the obvious war on truth and the First Amendment–I think we are pretty much screwed here.

1) An Underground Railroad for Immigrants fleeing the tyranny of DT and his admin–fleeing America because it is not a safe haven or the land of opportunity for them.

2) A 70 year old children’s book author detained by US and reduced to tears over the humiliation and poor treatment she received while traveling. Here is what she had to say:

“She told the Australian Broadcasting Corporation she was questioned by border agents for two hours in front of a room full of people – an experience that left her feeling like she had been physically assaulted.

“I have never in my life been spoken to with such insolence, treated with such disdain, with so many insults and with so much gratuitous impoliteness,” Fox said.

“I felt like I had been physically assaulted which is why, when I got to my hotel room, I completely collapsed and sobbed like a baby, and I’m 70 years old.”

3) A UK teacher with a British passport detained, removed from plane and humiliated when traveling with his students.

“As I was making my way out of the plane I looked back at the kids to tell them everything was going to be okay. The look I got off the kids, they were shocked, they couldn’t believe what was happening. This is when I felt like I was a criminal,” Juhel Miah, a math teacher at Llangatwg Comprehensive School in Wales told CNN.

4) Continued saga of Russian interference in US election and DT administration. New evidenced shows White House Chief of Staff Preibus asked the FBI to publicly refute that DT and his admin had anything to do with Russia–the FBI refused.

6) I will end with this heinous crime against an Indian engineer who was killed in a hate crime in Kansas this week. The man charged with the murder was in the restaurant at the bar, supposedly dropping racial slurs which were overheard by waitstaff when he left the restaurant came back with a gun and shot 2 people after yelling, “Get out of my country”. An American who had been hiding under a table when the gun shorts started,  thought the gun magazine was empty, charged him and was shot too. One man died, the Indian engineer. He left behind a wife, family back in India and relatives here in the US. I cannot imagine how his family feels and I am so very sorry.

These were not all the awful things that happened this week; there were more but I do not have the time or energy to lay them all out.

I am ashamed. This is not the America I know and love. I am 46 years old and I NEVER thought I would see things like this happen in America in my lifetime. I never imagined it was possible to elect a leader without experience, without good character, without a moral compass, without compassion and a basic human decency. Shame on us.
