#28 THINGS I HATE ABOUT TRUMP: HE IS NOT OK

I am growing weary of hating Trump, it is exhausting. Every day—-EVERY DAY—since the heyday of his campaign and continuing through his Presidency, not a day has gone by where he or his administration has not done or said something offensive, ridiculous or just plain untrue. I have had ENOUGH. The constant #Resistance is taking its toll. Don’t worry, I am not the “give-up” or quitting type and I am certainly not going to give in and allow Trumpism to normalize more than it already has.

We must stay vigilant and continue to draw attention to his bad behavior. I wish more people would call him out on his “crazy” though; it is beyond arrogance and narcissism. Mika and Joe questioned his sanity this morning and I hope more people begin to do the same.

It is frightening to catch glimpses of exactly how much he does not know:

  • Recent comments about how hard being a President is and he did not realize it would be, especially compared to his previous life–of a reality TV personality.
  • Comments that healthcare is complicated-who knew?
  • Recent comments about pre-existing conditions and putting new healthcare legislation to a vote this week–which was news to house republicans. I feel stressed out just trying to keep track of all the awful, crazy stuff he does. I imagine the WH staff and legislators must be downing loads of Zantac or Xanax.
  • Inviting the President of the Philippines, Duterte, well known dictator, murderer and a just plain evil guy to the WH; he seems to be friends with all the best dictators. Maybe Putin, Duterte and al-Assad will join him for a round of golf in Bedminster.
  • Claiming Andrew Jackson could have stopped the Civil War. Jackson died 16 years before the Civil War–he did not have the gift of being able to predict the future–he was not a good guy with a big heart (he owned slaves and lots of them) who wanted equal rights for all.

Trump’s attempt at a recovery. Nope, you still look like an idiot.
  • As he ponders why more people do not wonder why we even had a Civil War, the rest of the world grows increasingly concerned that is incompetence is based more on stupidity and less on arrogance than we thought.
  • This list of what he does not know is infinite….

Trump’s interview with John Dickerson of CBS’s Face the Nation was just as painful, incoherent and unintelligent as his interviews with NYT, Washington Post and the AP. Here is a clip where he “guarantees” (in quotes because we may witness Conway Kelly, Spicy Spicer or other Trump cronies trying to spin this into an alternative fact or another example of, “you did not really believe what the President said” game) that pre-existing conditions will remain in the healthcare bill even though EVERYONE knows that in order to appeal to the House Freedom Caucus (the crazy Tea Partiers) that Ryan made a deal with the devil to further degrade the proposed healthcare bill, to screw more Americans. The new bill stipulates that states get to decide if they charge everyone the same regardless of pre-existing conditions.

I think John Dickerson deserves a nice spa day after having to talk to this bozo. “Let me just explain something”…listening to this drivel is enough to make anyone want to poke their own eye out.

I hope Trump’s state of NY is one that approves pre-existing conditions because he will have a hard time proving he was not always afflicted.

He ends his interview with John on one last crazy note. John questions Trump’s relationship with Obama and it went over probably just like you would have imagined it would. Trump repeats, “You saw what happened with surveillance” and John is forced to ask him what he means since the wiretapping claim has been proven to be a LIE–over and over again.

When asked if he stands by his claim that Obama was “sick and bad”, Trump states, “I don’t stand by anything” before he rudely and petulantly walks away….Yup, sounds about right.

#26 THINGS I HATE ABOUT TRUMP: HE IS CRAZY

During the Trump campaign, his narcissism was on display for all to see. I think most people, even his staunch supporters will agree that he is narcissistic but acknowledging that narcissism as a clinical disorder means that we must admit our President is not of sane mind and body. We must admit we elected a mentally unstable man.

This is not the time or place to discuss treatment options for narcissism or the importance of mental health; although, I will say that offering people appropriate healthcare starts with access to that care–it always starts with access.

What I do want to talk about is Trump’s state of health. Having an untreated narcissist as a leader of our country makes no logical sense and puts the entire planet in a very dangerous position. Not a day has gone by since Trump took office that I personally have not felt stressed, angered, ashamed or embarrassed by his or his administrations’ behavior.

His craziness has been on display for all to see but what worked to his benefit as a reality TV personality–the crazier the better-“You’re FIRED!”–does NOT work as the President of the United States. Unhinged is no longer amusing.

For me, his character was undeniable from the moment I ever heard of him, way back when he was just a privileged D-bag who hung out in NYC. I really struggle with the fact that so many fellow Americans were willing to overlook his severe character flaws and are still willing to overlook them. I am not comfortable with an imbecile running our country.

Think I am being too harsh? Take a look at some transcripts from his interviews, watch or listen to his press conferences or interviews. Listen with an open mind. If this man was your boss, if he ran your company or household, would you be concerned? What if he was running your country…

Back on November 23, 2016 the New York Times published a transcript of an interview they did with Don the Con. His rambling incoherent speech pattern is troublesome to say the least. Back in November he was still focusing on his “big” win. Did he learn his lesson and improve his public speaking—Hell, NO! It has only gotten worse. His team can not camouflage his craziness with one liners anymore. “Lock her up” and “Build that wall” have served their purpose and even the Trump team realizes the public is catching on to their deceit.

Trump is insane and what does that make us?

If you plan on reading or listening to the full transcripts or interviews, may I suggest a nice Pinot Noir.
